Alison Shafer has been choreographing and directing at the Des Moines Playhouse since her 1999 debut with STATE FAIR. Most recently, she choreographed PETER AND THE WOLF, FOOTLOOSE, CHICAGO, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, PUMP BOYS AND DINETTES, SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL, CABARET, THE FULL MONTY, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, and THE PAJAMA GAME. She has also directed and choreographed HONK! and SMOKEY JOE’S CAFÉ and directed WINNIE THE POOH.
Francine Griffith
Music Director
Francine Griffith is a free-lance musician/educator in the Des Moines area. Some of her collaborations include: staff accompanist at Drake University, private piano instructor, Kinder Choir Director at Plymouth Congregational Church, musical director for Drake Musical Theatre and pianist/repetiteur for area theatre productions. Ms. Griffith earned her BME from Drake University, studying piano with Chiu-Ling Lin, and has taught Elementary Music in the Waukee School System. She is honored to be part of the very talented SIX-ON-SIX team!
