Even for established theatre companies, presenting a tried-and-true musical is a monumental task; producing a new, unproven, full-length musical that requires extensive human, material, and financial resources poses an artistic risk that most organizations are unwilling or unable to take. By independently producing SIX-ON-SIX: THE MUSICAL, we are taking on the dual challenge of creating a new theatrical work and what essentially is a new theatrical company to support it.
Consider what this means: when we began this project, we had nothing – no business or artistic staff, no legions of volunteers, no facilities, no equipment, no scenery or costumes or props, no partnerships…and little money to secure any of these things. Nonetheless, we persevered, and as the performance dates draw nearer, we’re delighted to report that all of the pieces are nicely falling into place. We’re well on our way to being artistically successful; but to be financially successful, we need your help.
Revenue from ticket sales will cover only a portion of the expenses of this production – the remainder must come from supporters like you who believe in this project and the role the arts play in improving our quality of life.
